However, LEDs don't generate as much heat as halogens, so in heavy snow conditions, you may need to manually clear snow buildup from the lens surface during pre-trip inspections.

What's the difference between the chrome and black housing options?

The housing finish is purely aesthetic and doesn't affect light output or performance. Chrome housings provide the classic, traditional look that matches original Peterbilt styling and chrome bumpers. Black housings offer a more modern, aggressive appearance and are popular with drivers who have blacked-out grilles or powder-coated bumpers. Both options use the same internal LED components and lens designs. The chrome versions feature a triple-chrome plating process for long-lasting shine and corrosion resistance.
