International 9900/i/ix Sleeper Roof Acc.

Frequently Asked Questions About International 9900/i/ix Sleeper Roof Acc.

What types of products are included in this category?

This category covers sleeper roof accessories designed specifically for the International 9900, 9900i, and 9900ix models, including roof fairings, air deflectors, cab roof panels, and marker light bar/light panel components that mount to the sleeper roof area.

Will these roof accessories fit my specific 9900, 9900i, or 9900ix truck?

Most items listed in this category are built to match the sleeper roof profile shared across the 9900, 9900i, and 9900ix models, but sleeper size and roof configuration can vary by build year and options. Check the fitment notes on each product page, and if you are unsure, contact our team with your VIN or truck specs before ordering to confirm proper fit.

What materials are these roof accessories made from, and what finish options are available?

Roof fairings and panels are commonly made from fiberglass or ABS composite material, while light bars and trim pieces may be stainless steel or durable plastic. Finish options vary by product and may include unpainted (paint-ready) fiberglass, painted-to-match finishes, or polished stainless steel. Refer to each individual listing for the specific material and finish details.

Do these roof accessories require professional installation?

Many roof fairings and panels can be installed by an experienced technician or a mechanically inclined owner-operator using basic tools, existing mounting points, and standard hardware. However, because installation often involves working at height and aligning body panels for a clean seal against the elements, we recommend professional installation if you are not comfortable with sheet metal or fiberglass body work.

Will adding a roof fairing or light bar affect airflow, fuel economy, or wiring on my truck?

Roof fairings and deflectors are generally designed to improve airflow over the sleeper and trailer gap, which can help with aerodynamics, though actual fuel economy results vary by truck setup and driving conditions. If a product includes marker lights or wiring, verify that it is compatible with your truck's existing electrical harness and meets applicable lighting requirements for your operation before installation.
