Freightliner Exhaust System Upgrades

Repair worn or damaged Freightliner exhaust systems with aftermarket and OEM-equivalent pipes, elbows, mufflers, mounts, bellows, stacks, and aftertreatment components. Older Classic and FLD trucks have one of the deepest replacement selections, including complete 6-, 7-, and 8-inch chrome exhaust kits for many 1989–2007 applications using 6015-style elbows.

Freightliner Exhaust Pipes, Elbows & Connectors

Replace rusted, cracked, leaking, or damaged sections without rebuilding the entire exhaust system. Choose from Y-pipes, turbo pipes, intermediate pipes, elbows, spools, reducers, flex connectors, and bellows in aluminized steel, chrome-plated steel, and other heavy-duty materials.

Fitment is especially important around turbo outlets, mufflers, Y-pipes, and aftertreatment connections. Many parts cross-reference Freightliner OEM numbers, such as Classic and FLD intermediate pipes replacing 04-16621-001, Classic Y-pipes replacing A04-16885-024, and Century/Columbia turbo pipes replacing 04-21016-009.

For owner-operators, replacing only the failed pipe or connector can restore proper exhaust routing, seal leaks, and reduce unnecessary repair cost when the rest of the system is still serviceable.

Freightliner Exhaust Stacks

Replace damaged stacks or change the appearance of your Freightliner with chrome and stainless stack options in popular 6-, 7-, and 8-inch sizes. Styles include Bull Hauler, West Coast Turnout, Miter Cut, Flat Top, and other custom configurations.

Choose stack diameter and style only after confirming the lower exhaust connection, reducer size, mounting position, and available cab clearance. Some products are universal and may require modification, while others are direct replacements for specific Freightliner models, such as 4-inch turnout stacks for M2-106 and M2-112 trucks.

Freightliner Exhaust Mufflers

Replace rusted, damaged, or excessively noisy mufflers with OE-style or performance replacements sized for the truck’s exhaust diameter and mounting configuration. Performance mufflers can provide a different exhaust tone and flow characteristics, while factory-style replacements focus on restoring the original system layout.

Bellows and flex sections should be treated separately from mufflers. These flexible components absorb movement and vibration between rigid exhaust sections and are common replacement points on Cascadia, Columbia, M2, Coronado, and other Freightliner applications. A 5 x 16.5-inch bellows kit in the lineup, for example, replaces Freightliner 04-28522-000.

Freightliner Diesel Aftertreatment

Replace failed or damaged aftertreatment components with diesel particulate filters (DPFs), diesel oxidation catalysts (DOCs), DPF flex connectors, and related exhaust components.

These parts should be matched primarily by engine application and OEM cross-reference—not Freightliner model alone. The assortment includes components for Detroit DD13/DD15, Cummins ISX/ISC/ISL/ISB, PACCAR PX and MX, Caterpillar, and other engines commonly used in heavy-duty trucks. For example, the lineup includes a stainless DPF replacing A6804910794 for Detroit DD13/DD15 engines.

When replacing an aftertreatment component, confirm the engine family, emissions generation, existing OEM number, inlet/outlet configuration, and surrounding clamps or flex connectors before purchase.

Freightliner Exhaust Clamps, Brackets & Hardware

Keep the exhaust system supported and properly aligned with durable exhaust clamps and brackets, bushings, hangers, gaskets, seals, mounts, and Freightliner heat shield hardware.

These smaller parts are often the right fix when the pipe itself is still usable but the system rattles, sags, shifts, or moves excessively. Freightliner M2 applications, for example, include replacement exhaust bushings, brackets, and muffler hangers for under-truck exhaust systems.

Before ordering, match the truck model, year, exhaust location, pipe diameter, mounting style, and OEM number where available. Replacing worn supports and seals can often correct vibration, alignment, and exhaust-leak problems without replacing the complete system.
